Since LCF kids first opened.
What improvements have you seen in your child’s skills?
Michael can throw and kick now. He can also climb the rock wall and his hand/eye coordination has really improved.
What has been your experience at LCF Kids?
Michael LOVES the gym. It is probably one of his favorite activities of the week. In the years he’s been attending, we’ve tried lots of different therapies, but LCF is the only one that has consistently contributed to his overall well being both mental and physical.

What improvements have you seen in your child’s skills?
My son has poor balance and weak upper body. He had been falling a lot when walking on uneven surface and easily trips. Since working with Ricardo, he has been able to right himself and hold his balance instead of falling to the ground. Ricardo has been working on core strength and has introduced my son to weights. He seldom falls now and increased strength in his arm has been a plus! Eye-hand coordination has improved too.
What has been your experience at LCF Kids?
My son always looks forward to working with Ricardo. He enjoys all the various equipment and the games so that each session is a fun activity rather than “work.”

What improvements have you seen in your child’s skills?
Improved in motor planning and coordination, as well as core strength. Going from no idea of how to throw or catch a ball to being able to throw, catch, kick, dribble, and shoot. P.E teachers at school have noticed the improvement.

What improvements have you seen in your child’s skills?
My youngest son was 6 years old at the time we started. He had severe vision/balance/frustration levels. Over the past three years, he has improved his low tone, visual perception on skills and balance skills. He is just learning to shoot basketballs & throw/catch football and Frisbees now. Although we’re still working/helpinghim on this journey. He’s made amazing progress. Our older son has also made wonderful advancements. His ball skills have really improved! It is helping him socially playing with other kids at school.
What has been your experience at LCF Kids?
It has been a wonderful experience. Our family thinks the world of Ricardo & Zach. They are both very professional and courteous. Thank you very much for al the hard work and progress. We’re looking forward to the continuing improvements of our boys.

What improvements have you seen in your child’s skills?
We have seen many improvements in T’s skills since he began working with Ricardo! His body awareness, coordination and reflexes have all improved and his physical self-confidence has also developed as a result, with improved motor planning and ability to attend to physical tasks longer. I didn’t imagine when he started that T would eventually be able to shoot baskets and throw with accuracy, dribble a basketball or effectively kick and stop a soccer ball – among many other skills.
What has been your experience at LCF Kids?
Ricardo and his staff have always worked with great thoughtfulness and professionalism. They meet our son where he is and help him develop step by step. Ricardo is very skilled at breaking tasks down to the increments that allow T to succeed and grow. He perceives signs of frustration and alter tasks so needed in a way we have not experienced with any other physical education coach or teacher. His work with T has been and continues to be a great benefit to our son’s overall development well beyond the gym.

What improvements have you seen in your child’s skills?
We would say the two biggest improvements for Alayna has been her balance and confidence in herself. She has mastered her fears of trying new things by all of the practice and support given by Ricardo. We use to see a lot of resistance and now there is a more willing and confident spirit in Alayna.
What has been your experience at LCF Kids?
Wonderful experience working with LCF and Ricardo. They are always willing to try what we ask and are most experienced team we work with for Alayna.

Clients will take note of two things about Ricardo Cunningham of LCF One, he knows his stuff. I have not met anyone with more knowledge about the special fitness needs of children with special needs. And two, he has the perfect touch with children. He knows how to make the workouts fun--so much so, the kids have no idea how hard they are working. My child has made wonderful progress in a caring, supportive and fun environment."

My son has autism and dyspraxia and Ricardo has designed activities that my son can accomplish, but that also challenge him. Ricardo starts with activities that my son prefers and that regulate him and then is able to get him to climb higher, catch, throw, and work on bilateral integration and balance. We just started with Life Changing Fitness, and I think we are going to keep coming for a long time!"

"My son LOVES Life Changing Fitness! As soon as we pull into the parking lot, he is eager to get out of the car and get to "work." He really enjoys the jumping and climbing activities, and Ricardo - who is patient, caring, and kind - is always sure to keep me posted on his progress each week. Highly recommended!"

Our now six year old daughter has a chromosome disorder which manifests itself in significant developmental delays, low muscle tone, and an inability to communicate verbally. We were referred to Life Changing Fitness multiple times by our Doctor at Children's, but we felt that given her limited abilities, it wouldn't be a good fit for her. At the time she was four but wasn't able to stand independently so we didn't see how she could utilize the gym. Boy were we wrong! When we finally went to check it out, we observed Ricardo working with an autistic child in several exercises.
While we thought it looked like a great program, we didn't think there was anything that could be modified enough to fit her needs. We told Ricardo this and said maybe we would come back later. On the spot, Ricardo drew on his extensive experience adapting physical education and working with special needs children to give us multiple examples of exercises he could modify to be at her level and yet still challenge her. We decided to give it a trial run. She was reluctant at first, but once she got used to the routine she really took to going to the gym.
We've been going on a weekly basis since then and even participated in two weeks of summer camp. Ricardo has continued to develop new exercises for her that she can understand and enjoys doing and she has made major strides physically since we started going to LCF. She started to walk on her own a few months ago and now she runs around the gym with Ricardo for several minutes at a time. Her physical abilities and confidence in her body have grown tremendously to the point where she can walk on uneven surfaces at the playground, climb the play equipment stairs, and go down the slide unassisted.
LCF has helped her with all of these things. She can stand on her own while also doing independent things with her upper body, like throwing a ball. The progress she has made in two years has been amazing and I think LCF has played a big role in her development. I would heartily recommend Ricardo and LCF to other parents of special needs children, no matter the child's ability."

Our 6 year old son has autism and this is one place that is helping him tremendously. All the jumping, climbing, balancing, focusing activity helps him not only physically but also mentally and behaviorally. He is calmer, more regulated and attentive. He used to throw frequent tantrums, and act hyper and all of this has gone since we started life changing fitness. Ricardo definitely knows what he is doing. We are so lucky that we found him, thank you."

"We are so thrilled with the progress Emma has made at Life Changing Fitness. Ricardo is the autism whisperer! We cannot believe what he can get her to do in her sessions at the gym. And the look on her face when she comes out is just priceless - she obviously is proud of her hard work too!"
